Holding It Up

Last night Brandon and Kynlie were on the bed playing and Kynlie was rolling over on her tummy. For the past couple of weeks when she would roll over and get on her tummy and she would have a fit because she is not a fan of tummy time. But last night she rolled over got her arm out from under her and was just laying there with her head to the side looking around. All of a sudden she held her head straight up and was looking around. She dropped it and then did it again. I was clapping and trying to get my camera because she has never done this before. I have worked with her and worked with her and she would never raise her head. So finally I found my camera and she stopped doing it and would not do it again for anything. This is how she is when she does something new that I want to get a picture of. So maybe she will do it again tonight and I can get a picture to post. She is learning so many things so fast......... I was so proud of her!!

Laughing

Kynlie has been laughing for about a week or so now. You can act like your gonna throw her up in the air and she thinks it is hilarious. She has a low distinct laugh you have to really listen for it. She loves to squeal and she makes all kinds of noises. She has been doing this for quite a while now. The louder you squeal and talk to her the better she likes it. At night she gets so loud she gets tickled at herself it is so funny and sweet to listen to her. She is also really sweet in the mornings she will just talk (coo) and squeal and smile. She is the sweetest thing on earth and I just love her!!

Fun Weekend

This weekend we decided to head back over to Alabama Adventure. Last time we were there they gave us season passes for the price of our admission. We decided to go back since we didn't get to ride much last time because it was so crowded. We had a pretty fun day even though we were all a little sun burned when we left. All in all it was a good time. We rode everything in the park. My brother cracked me up because he would stay on rides and ride them over and over especially the roller coasters. He was hilarious. Then we headed to Outback for some good food. It was great so then we headed home so everyone could pick up their kids. Kynlie was so glad to see us her feet and arms were going in circles and she had the biggest smile on her face when I walked in. She laughed and played and was so sweet when we got home. I hate to leave her anytime so this mommy was pretty glad to see her too. We had a fun day.

Sweet Girl

These are a few pictures I took of Kynlie the other day. I thought they turned out pretty good.

Rolling Over

Kynlie has been rolling over on her side for some time now. Last night and on in to the morning she would not quit rolling over on her side. She thought it was so funny she would just smile real big!!
The other night Brandon was playing with her on the bed (I think he was helping her a little bit) and said she completely rolled over. Well today I called mom to check on her and she said Kynlie kept rolling over on her side and if she could figure out how to move her left arm out from under her she would be completely over about that time she did it and was completely over on her belly!!! She went from her back to her belly which is kinda rare usually they go from belly to back! Maybe she will do it again this afternoon for mommy and daddy. My baby girl is growing up so fast!

More Catching Up

Kynlie Claire
3 Months Old
August 1st, 2009

  • She sleeps completely through the night now. She has been for a while now.
  • She still takes about 5 oz. every 4 hours sometimes every 2 hours and sometimes 6-8 oz. just depends on her I guess.
  • She wears 3-6 months clothes and wears a size 1 diaper.
  • She loves to lay under her farm mat and listen to the songs and watch the cow go back and forward.
  • She notices me when I walk in a room all eyes go to me. (And her daddy too).
  • She is just now getting to where she doesn't mind tummy time as much. She used to hate it and would put her face completely face down in the blanket and would make me really nervous. Now she will hold her head up a little better but not completely up.
  • She loves to take a bath she will just splash her little feet around and smile so big. This is also my favorite time too!! I have started putting her little duck, frog, and turtle (they are small) in the tub with her and she is beginning to notice them floating around. She loves for you to squeeze the wash cloth over her, she will just squeal and smile so big!!
  • She absolutely loves her swing she will sit in there as long as you let her. She will talk to the fishies as they go around and just smile and coo with the music.
  • She pulls MY hair completely out of my head!! The other day she pulled me by the hair down into her car seat so we were face to face it was really funny. She also holds onto my hair when I am giving her a bottle. She will also pull her daddy's hair when he gets in her face.
  • She has been cooing for some time now and seems to get louder everyday. She gets tickled at her self sometimes and gets louder and louder especially if you talk with her. It is so sweet.
She is the absolute best thing we could have ever dreamed of. We are so thankful to be able to be her mommy and daddy and to take care of her. We love to watch her grow everyday. Thank you God for this precious baby of ours. We love you very much Kynlie Claire!!

Trying to Catch Up

Kynlie Claire
2 Months Old

July 1st, 2009

Kynlie got her first rounds of shots this month. She did great. No fever just a little fussiness minutes after getting the shots....well actually she screamed all the way to the car. When we got to the car she took a bottle and went to sleep. She did great the rest of the day.

Kynlie weighed 11 lbs and 14 oz. and was 23 1/2 inches long.
Dr. says everything is great and she is right on time with everything.

  • She takes 5 oz. every 4 hours sometimes she wants 6-7 oz.
  • She gets up maybe 1 time during the night for a bottle and goes right back to sleep and usually sleeps until I get up for work. She is a great baby.
  • She wears 0-3 months and 3-6 months clothes it really depends on what it is. She wears a size 1 diaper.
  • She hardly ever cries unless she has pooped on her self or hungry. Most the time she just sucks on her fingers when she is hungry though.
  • She knows who I am whenever I walk in a room her eyes automatically turn to me. She will stop whatever she is doing to look at me. It is so sweet. When I pick her up in the afternoons if she is taking a bottle she will look at me until I get her and will not finish it until I have her. I love it!! She also notices her daddy and other family too.
  • She is a big time paci girl. We take it every where we go. She does not take it all the time but it better be close by because she will eventually want it.
  • Her swing is also a lifesaver if she is ever fussy just put her in her swing because this calms her and she absolutely loves it. She will watch those fish go around for hours.
She is the absolute best thing ever. We are so thankful for this sweet baby girl. We love her so much and thank god for her everyday!!
