Headed to the Races

Back in August we decided to go to the races. This was definitely a very bad idea. We ended up not staying long because it was too loud for us....maybe next time. She made some pretty funny faces in these pictures so I thought I would add them to the blog.

4 Month Check-Up

Today was Kynlie's 4 month check-up. She is right on track with everything. The Dr. says she is a healthy baby.

• She weighed 14lbs and 14oz.
• She was 25 3/4 in long.
• Her head circumference was 65.3 cm.
  

She was a little above average on her height and a little above average on her weight which worked out great together. Dr. says she's tall and slim like her mommy. Her head circumference was perfect for her body. She also got another round of shots. Last time she cried all the way to the car. This time she didn't even cry on the first one then on the next one she cried for about 1 minute and then she was fine. She was asleep by the time we got to the car. She got a great report and she did great with the shots!


What is Kynlie up to these days?

• She coos all the time. She is now laughing out loud and has been for a few weeks now.
• She squeals and gets so tickled at herself especially late at night and early in the morning.
• She can roll over from her back to her tummy and lift her head up off the floor. (Although this is not her favorite thing to do). She hates being put on her tummy. She loves to roll over though and will pitch a fit if you move her.
• She loves to pull hair.....especially mine. She gets a pretty good grip and it is hard to get her to let go. She never pulls her Daddy's hair....she gently plays with his hair and it is so sweet.
  
• She loves her bath. She will just splash her little feet in the water and laugh it is honestly the sweetest thing ever!!
• You can sit her on your lap and she just sets up so pretty (with your help). She has been doing this for a very long time though. She has really good head control.
• She loves to play on her music mat. It is a barn that sings Old Mac Donald and B.I.N.G.O and a few more songs....this is a lifesaver and keeps her occupied.
• She holds her toys well and the first thing she does is bring them straight to her mouth. She loves to chew on everything.
  
• She takes about 5 oz still every 2-4 hours just depends on her.
• She wears a size 2 diaper.
• She wears 3-6 months clothes.
• She gets so excited to see me if I leave her sight for a few seconds when I return you can just see the excitement on her face!! She kicks her legs like crazy too!! It is so sweet.
• My mom sings her the alphabet everytime she keeps her and Kynlie's eyes just light up it is so funny. She loves for you to sing to her.

Last night we gave her rice cereal with a spoon since she was 4 months old yesterday. She wasn't that crazy about it she wanted to hold the spoon and feed herself. I put her in her bumbo seat and put her tray on it and fed her there. She was a total mess but I think she had a great time learning how to eat from a spoon.

I also took it upon myself to let her sample some bananas in baby food and she absolutely loved them. She ate more of them than she did with the rice cereal. It was so funny and we have it on video and took lots of pictures which I plan to put some up later!!

She is doing all kinds of fun and new stuff and we can't wait to see what she is up to next. She is the joy of our lives!! We love this baby girl.
