39 weeks and counting........

Last week as soon as I got to the Dr.'s office my Dr. got called into an emergency surgery. So like always I had to see a different Dr. That is the one thing that I hate about St. Vincent's Hospital. So i made my next appointment for Monday the 27th. I only made my appointment this early in the week because the Dr. I saw last week told me if I would come in the first of the week that my Dr. would more than likely set a date to induce me. They don't like to induce you earlier than 39 weeks but I would only be 38 weeks and 5 days on Monday. She said my chances of getting induced would be better if I would come in on Monday. So we pretty much had our hopes up of finally getting to see Miss Kynlie. Not so much luck......we go to the Dr.'s appointment, my doctor walks in checks me says I am 1.5 cm dilated and that she is going to send me over to labor & delivery and have them watch me for a couple of hours and they would probably have me walk stairs. Ok so I asked the Dr. if we could talk about inducing she acted like she really didn't care. So we head over to labor & delivery and we asked them if we could walk the stairs and they just laughed and said no. Great! How am I going to dilate if you just put me in the bed? So I layed there for about 2 hours and the nurse came in and checked me and nothing had changed so she said she would go call the Dr. and see what she wanted me to do. Of course she said for us to go home. I really couldn't even figure out why she sent us over there in the first place. I knew nothing was going to happen putting me in the bed. So again we left very dissapointed. We go back to the Dr. on Monday May 4th so hopefully something will change between now and then or I will just go on my own. I hope I just go on my own because I really don't think they are going to do anything anyway and I really don't want to go over my due date which is next Wednesday May 6th. So in the meantime I have walked my little legs off trying to get something to happen. So far nothing........We will just have to wait and see!
